# Ferry

> Ferry copies photos from your camera to your computer over Wi-Fi: into Apple Photos, a folder or Lightroom. No cable, no card reader. Free for Mac, Windows and Linux.

Most cameras from the last ten years have Wi-Fi, but it was made for a phone app. To get photos onto a computer you're back to cables and card readers, and they are never where you need them.

Ferry does one thing: it gets your photos from the camera onto your computer, safely and without fuss. It doesn't edit, organize or rate. Your photo app already does that.

- Platforms: macOS 14 or later (imports into Apple Photos or a folder), Windows 10 and 11, Linux, and a command-line tool (ferryctl).

- Connection: the camera's own Wi-Fi network, or the home network with Fujifilm PC AutoSave. No cable, no card reader, no cloud.
- Fujifilm cameras send JPEG files over Wi-Fi, not RAF raw files.
- The app never deletes photos from the camera, has no account and collects no data.
- Languages: English, Nederlands, Français, Deutsch, Español, Italiano.

## What it is not

- Not a photo editor or a Lightroom replacement. It hands your photos to the app you already use.
- Not a remote control. It doesn't fire the shutter or change camera settings.
- Not a cloud service. There is no account and nothing is uploaded, unless you set up your own Immich server.
- It never deletes photos from your camera.

- Fujifilm X-T2: Works in the emulator. JPEG over Wi-Fi.
- Fujifilm X-T4: Works in the emulator. JPEG over Wi-Fi.
- Fujifilm X-T30: Works in the emulator. JPEG over Wi-Fi.
- Fujifilm X-S10: Works in the emulator. JPEG over Wi-Fi.
- Fujifilm X-H1: Works in the emulator. JPEG over Wi-Fi.
- Fujifilm X-A2: Works in the emulator. JPEG over Wi-Fi.
- Fujifilm X30: Works in the emulator. JPEG over Wi-Fi.
- Fujifilm X-F10: Works in the emulator. JPEG over Wi-Fi.
- Fujifilm GFX100 II: Works in the emulator.
- Fujifilm X-E3, X-Pro2, X-Pro3, X100F, X100V, X-T3, X-T100, X-T200: Should work, not yet tested. Same Wi-Fi protocol as the tested models.
- Fujifilm X-T5, X-H2, X-H2S, X-S20, X100VI, X-T50, X-M5: Planned. These pair over Bluetooth first. Support is planned.
- Canon EOS R: Works in the emulator. Standard PTP/IP over the camera's Wi-Fi.
- Canon EOS 90D: Works in the emulator. Standard PTP/IP over the camera's Wi-Fi.
- Canon EOS 5D Mark III: Works in the emulator. Standard PTP/IP over the camera's Wi-Fi.

- Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III: Works in the emulator. Standard PTP/IP over the camera's Wi-Fi.
- Olympus / OM System OM-D E-M10, E-M5, E-M1 series, PEN: Should work, not yet tested. Uses the OI.Share Wi-Fi interface.
- Ricoh GR II, GR III, GR IIIx: Should work, not yet tested. Uses the GR's Wi-Fi interface.
- Sony / Panasonic Older Sony Alpha and Panasonic Lumix with Wi-Fi sharing: Should work, not yet tested. Cameras that share photos as a media server on Wi-Fi.
- Nikon Wi-Fi models: Planned. Needs research with a real camera.
