The short version
Ferry collects nothing about you. It has no account, no analytics, no crash reporting and no servers. Only this website collects some data: it counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, without cookies.
What the app does with your photos
Ferry connects to your camera over Wi-Fi and copies photos to the places you choose: Apple Photos, a folder on your computer or a backup drive. If you set up an Immich server, it uploads to that server, which you run yourself.
What the app stores
A list of the photos it imported (file name, date and size), so it can skip them next time, and your settings. Both stay on your computer. An Immich API key is stored in the system keychain.
Permissions
On a Mac, Ferry asks for access to Photos to add photos, and for the local network to reach the camera. It only uses that access to add photos and create its album.
This website
This site is hosted by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes requests to deliver pages and may keep short-lived logs; we don't receive or use them. To see how many people visit, the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics: it records which pages are viewed, the site you came from, your browser, country and how fast the page loaded. It sets no cookies and doesn't identify you. It's the only script on the site.
Camera reports
The camera report form runs on Tally, which stores the answers. It asks for your email so we can follow up on your report; we don't use it for anything else and don't add you to a mailing list.
